Whetstone CLCGB

Whetsone Church Lads and Church Girls Bigade is a youth club open to all. Members range from 6 to 18yrs in the 4 youth sections but continue as leaders. One of the main activities is music: junior band, corps of drums, and portable percussion that look like xylophones. The Brigade is rightly pround of their full miltary style band, with drill, immaculate uniforms and presentation. Brigade often wins trophies at weekend competitions. Apart from band night, members also attend youth night for games and education and an annual camp. Brigade plays a concert at St Peter's Church Christmas Tree Festival, Parades at Remembrance Sunday, and leads worship at the Christingle Service and elsewhere. St Peter's Parish Centre is also the home of: Little Badgers' Pre-School, Tiddlywinks drop-in playgroup, Guides, Drama, Luncheon and Brunch Clubs. The Centre is a Charity Managed by the St Peter's Parochial Church Council.

Whetstone CLCGB is a great Youth Group and Band. I was a member for 8 years when I was a child and I have now enrolled my children who have been members for 5 years. I have also become a leader. It is like a big friendly family. I think the children are enriched by their experiences either with the Youth Group or Band or both! Highly recommended!
