Very poor knowledge from the woman serving me today of real ale. Was served a half of Plain Ales real ale (name of beer escapes me) but was extremely flat and lifeless . Bar person insisted real ale was supposed to be served like that .... unfortunately for her I am a very experienced real ale drinker and this is certainly not the case ! Also she was quite dismissive of my protestations. I also work in a pub and frankly this FOH team member needs training on real ale and how to interact with customers. Very poor pub and service. Over charged on drinks. 2nd round, had x3 less drinks but was the same price as the 1st round.

Worst pub we've EVER visited. Barmaid was interested in our dog was initially friendly and served our drinks fairly promptly. We ordered food , the chef in the kitchen had long greasy hair which wasn't tied back. When food was ready he rang for service, but the barmaid ignored it twice. I pointed out our food would be cold. She disagreed . Eventually served the food asked if we wanted further drinks, we ordered drinks, they never came. Couldn't eat my food it looked awful. Dried out, wilted salad. Would not recommend this establishment.
