We needed a low-level railing for our new flat roof. I had seen no off-the shelf products to meet our requirement. David Daniel was very helpful and worked up drawings which we discussed and amended to suit. David was flexible and gave good advice and we are delighted with the quality of the work. I would recommend them to anyone looking for customised railings.

I had an estimate for a Balcony Railing and paid 50 percent (936) as deposit on 15th of March 2021. The quoted time period was 10 to 14 weeks. I was sent a design for approval after 11 weeks. This was after I sent numerous emails for an update. I was also told that the company was fully confident to fulfill the order within the quoted time period. Two more weeks passed after that message but no communication from the company. I wrote on 14th of June for an urgent reply with a confirmed date of installation. No reply for two days. It's a very disappointing service from the company. It sat on my 936 for over three months. I have now asked for the refund. Lets see how long it takes to refund my deposit. I am writing this on 19th of June. Immediately after I wrote the above, the company sent me an email stating that the time had not expired but, at the same time, stated that it won't be done before 5th of July. Its the same company who were VERY CONFIDENT three weeks ago that they will fulfill the order within the quoted time. So it shows that they never intented to fulfill the order within the quoted time It's not finished yet. Regarding my deposit, now the company wants to deduct a fee for the drawings from my deposit. They had never mentioned a separate fee for the drawings on their Estimate. This shows the standards of the company that wants to deduct anything possible from my deposit. God knows when they are able to refund the deposit or not. But they are forgetting that people have access to legal actions. They are not even worth 1 star.

I have just received a custom built leaf gate. Beautiful styling and well made. Customer service was excellent and I would recommend the company without reservation, based on my experience.

Had such a great experience with The Great Gate Company recently, excellent customer service and are without doubt the experts in the industry. Really impressed the quality & value of my bespoke gates too. The company name certainly fits the bill!
