Wannies Retreat

We have stayed at Wannies Retreat twice now and it's is just the perfect place for a relaxed family break. The carriage itself, as well as being unique, is absolutely immaculate and has lots of luxurious touches. Annabel is just the most amazing host and honestly couldn't be more helpful. The locally sourced welcome pack and soaps are a wonderful touch. So much is on hand to keep the kids entertained too, from train Top Trumps to garden games. We can't wait to go back!

We have just returned from a short break at Wannies Retreat and can honestly say it is the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. The Carriage is immaculately presented and simply stunning in every way. All amenities, linen etc are really lovely. The welcome hamper full of local produce was a delight. We pre-ordered home produced meat and eggs which were fabulous quality and made for a tasty breakfast and then barbecue dinner under the stars, followed by roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. We loved the carriage and its hot tub so much we never left it during our stay. The peace and tranquillity was so relaxing - we cannot wait to return. Thank you Annabel for a perfect stay - 5* is not enough!

What a fantastic place, location and hosts. We spent an amazing week here with our friends and the trip was amazing. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful; they have provided everything you could possibly want or need for a very comfortable, stylish, peaceful and relaxing stay. The scenery all round is beautiful and there are lots of wonderful walks. The hosts can also supply absolutely delicious farm produce too! Absolutely lovely.
