The restaurant, however, barely deserves 2*. We (only two people) turned up around 2:15pm midweek and apparently no tables were available - despite there being at least 6 tables that were empty when we arrived and still empty when we left over an hour later. It was very clear with the other guests there that you are offered a table if you are in suits and only bar service if not - even when having a full meal. And then we were pretty much ignored and had to flag staff to make our orders. Go to somewhere non-prejudiced with excellent staff (like Claridges) instead if you want a decent tea experience.
