We decided to build a cobb pizza oven in our back garden. For this, you need local clay. So we rang these guys up, told them what we wanted (7 bags of clay). Come on up, they said, and we'll see what we can do. So up we trundled in the trustee Fiat Uno.
It's safe to say the quarry is not the fiat uno's natural habitat. So the manager came down and took us in his big truck to the clay face. Gilbert came down with his digger and got us a scoop full of clay. In the meantime, the boss took us on a mini tour and explained the geology. Gilbert bagged up the clay and we chucked it in the uno.
It's fair to say we were not their typical customers, but they took a great deal of time and effort to help us get what we needed for our project. A lovely team of people who went above and beyond. Would recommend!
