Great place to stay! Within walking distance of Corfe Castle, several good pubs and shops to browse in. Lovely clean and cosy house (it has a fireplace) with a well equipped kitchen. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the sunny conservatory. A must visit is Kimeridge Bay to see the fossils, which is just a short drive away. There are also some great walks across the hills. Would definitely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Salis Orchard in February 2020. This is a charming, well appointed cottage, nestled above the quaint and picturesque village of Corfe. With scenic walks and several excellent pubs including The Fox and The Castle Inn (The Castle Inn offering excellent meals) . It was great to have off road parking at the cottage. The large conservatory at Salis Orchard is perfect after returning from magnificent walks to remove muddy boots and relax. The sitting/dining room is cozy and yet spacious . The cottage is an ideal hub to explore this surprisingly beautiful area. After a short drive, we were amazed by the stunning views on our walk to to Worbarrow Bay. At Tyneham Village, the historic 1920's school room has been faithfully recreated , truly a step back in time. Another great pub to indulge in culinary delights locally, is the Scott's Arms at Kingston which has a truly splendid view of Corfe Castle from the pub garden. We will definately stay here again.

Our party spent a glorious week at Salis Orchard, Corfe Castle. The approach to the village is stunning with the castle dominating the hill. Salis Orchard is a detached house set off the main road and accessed via a cul-de-sac. It is within strolling distance of the castle and surrounding shops, restaurants and pubs. The property has secure off street parking and a neat garden. The house is spacious and well equipped, it has a real homely feel and we spent a couple of evenings simply enjoying the restful setting. All our party were more than happy with their beds, and made the most of the peace and quiet. The castle remains are amazing with extensive views from the top of the hill, a visit is a must. We enjoyed a day at Kingston Lacy another National Trust property a short drive away. Included was a very good guided tour of the house. There are many country walks, some we tried which were not too exerting. You are often rewarded with superb views. There are very good restaurants and pubs either within waking distance or a short drive. We visited The Castle Inn, Scott Arms, Kingston and Clavells at Kimmeridge the food at them all was excellent. Salis Orchard in Corte Castle was an ideal base from which to explore the rural beauty of the Isle of Purbeck. We will definitely make a return visit, there is plenty more to see.

Salis Orchard is a beautiful, cosy and welcoming house which is well maintained throughout. Its location is superb and within walking distance to the village square, local pubs and Corfe Castle itself. We particularly enjoy spending time in the conservatory, overlooking the rolling countryside, and snuggling up by the log fire. The walks and scenery in and around the village are simply stunning. Harrys Rock, a short drive away, is a favourite walk of ours and the Bankes Arms is a great place to eat. Bournemouth and Swanage are also very close so this is an ideal place to stay if you like countryside walks or days out at the beach; Corfe offers you the best of both worlds! We cant wait to visit again very soon.
