Annoying and repeated junk mail despite requests to stop. Positive reviews are all suspiciously vague. Working hard to make everyone's electricity more expensive too.

Reading these reviews are making us very disheartened. We are waiting for our payment and was told 6 -8 weeks in April. Its now September. Why is the process so long. With regards to the reply. We got a letter in April saying the payment would be with us in 6 weeks. We are still waiting and its November. Its very disappointing and does make you wonder whats occurring and why the process is so long. Again we ask why the delay?

A deceitful lazy unprofessional company. I was contacted about compensation, they didn't negotiate or visit the property, so there is no way of knowing the value of it. They took the quick uncontested offer to save thenselves time and putting in any effort. We said we weren't happy as essentially we are only getting the same wayleave payment we already get but as a lump sum. We were told we should accept, and if we didnt they were still going to charge us 480 in "professional" fees. Which were hidden, annexed in another document from the contract. I am looking to seek legal advice and see if there is an ombudsman to refer them to. The 480 was on top of their 300 commission which was agreed, so a total of 780 of a 2000 payout. Leaving 1220, for 14 years, so 87 a year. This is the same as my current wayleave agreement which I have now forfeited. Please aviod them and deal with the electricity company directly.

No communication at all through the process. I am also being charged survey fees on top of the 20% which are well hidden in their T's and C's. This takes my final fees to just under half of the compensation value. I have received a non negotiated fast track settlement from the power company which, against my wishes, Thomson Broadbent have told me to accept. They also told me that I would incur more fees if I wanted to wait and negotiate. Basically they will be taking half of the compensation with no negotiations and a survey that was done in the office. Take my advice, contact the power company directly and keep all of the money. NOT SURE HOW TO REPLY TO THE COMAPNIES RESPONSE BELOW SO I WILL JUST HAVE TO ADD TO MY REVIEW. AS YOU CAN SEE BY THE DATES ON MY REVIEW AND THEIR RESPONSE IT HAS TAKEN THOMSON BROADBENT A YEAR TO REPLY. THAT SAYS IT ALL........
