Enjoyed our visit. Very welcoming and friendly staff There is a large outdoor serving area at the front, which is on the road. Which gets the sun for most of the day, so I would imagine it is immensely popular in the summer. Inside is period decor, comfy brown leather sofas as you walk in, ,with panelling on the walls. There is quite a large open area and the bar area is quite large too. Loads of real ales and other beers, lagers and ciders on draft. We had some light bites which were absolutely superb!! It is dog friendly too, which is always a bonus. Definitely recommended

I would have given five stars for beer, atmosphere, staff, indeed everything, except the smell of wet dogs. I'm not complaining. I'm just pointing it out for others like me who are not so enamoured with dogs. On the other hand, if you like dogs, this is the place for you. We were the only people without one, they are welcomed by staff and customers alike. The beer was well kept, my wife's coffee was really nice, the staff are friendly and chatty, especially if you have a dog. Noteworthy details: Take a dog to fit in.
