Approved Damp Proofing

Damp proofing certificate given for 30 years so all good there, hopefully. However, the plastering which was carried out was absolutely atrocious!! How they expected me to decorate walls that were plastered in this way I just dont know! It was suggested to me that I cover it up with a nest of tables. What a joke! They couldnt remediate the problem (their own admission) and no part refund was offered. Didnt put skirting boards or architrave on saying their joinery skills werent up to much! That should have set alarm bells ringing!! Steer well clear of this Company, I feel well ripped off!

I've had an overall bad experience, however there was a plus point, the work carried out was to a fair standard. We found the employees to be fair and with a decent quality of work, but the main guy is nothing more than a conman, he started off just dealing with my parents so I guess he was rubbing his hands. Turning up for 2.5 hrs - 3.5 hrs a day and advising a lot of extra work needed doing. The costs were just spiraling with no end in sight. It got to the point were my parents had paid 2800 and with still nearly another 1000 for a job which started quoted as 1500. I went down and watched them today, we were told beams were rotten with damp, this wasn't the case when floorboards lifted. I felt increasingly wary of the fact that this company were just dragging this job out and seeing it as a cash cow type of scenario. I waited for the main guy Craig - who does no actual work to arrive so I could question exactly what had been done and what they were planning to do. Needless to say these jobs were all unnecessary and nothing to do with the damp course. I told him I wasn't happy for him to do these extra jobs as they didn't need doing and he went to his van and magically knocked off 800. At one point he asked me what I wanted to pay??? I mean what kind of genuine outfit operates like that? The top and bottom of this is that the company is ran by Craig and Craig cannot be trusted, if you want to be lied to and taken advantage of please feel free to ignore my review but if you would rather avoid the headache and being taken for a mug then DO NOT USE.
