I grew up in Copmanthorpe and my folks still live there, opposite the shops. I came to visit and stay over last weekend. I parked over night in the car park which I always do and this time I got a fine. 100 to park in the village car park! Who has the right to put this in place.
I've heard on the grapevine this newsagent is responsible. I think it's disgusting. A perfect way to alienate locals and stop them going in the shop.
Personally I'll be telling everyone I know and never, ever going in there again.
