I went in here for lunch with my Catalan friend and 8 year old mixed race daughter. I was shocked at how passive aggressive towards me they were. If there is any sophistication in this place it is definitely not afforded to people of sub Saharan African origin. The waiter told me to hold on in the middle of ordering my meal whilst he went to see to some new arrivals. This is despite other staff being available for that task. I was on my way to spending upwards of 150 but I had enough and voted with my feet. Im used to seeing this sort of soft racism in Italy, Spain and Eastern Europe but I have almost never witnessed it on a British high street.
