Good no nonsense pub. Good beer and plenty of TV screens showing the sport. Descent size too so you can normally get a table

Because of the football match, it was pretty busy, but the Staff handled it well.

Sorry to say but 2 out of the last 3 meals we have had were not very good at all. On our first complaint the manager agreed with our comments and yes we received a free meal as compensation, which was very nice. We went there again this Tuesday and I oedered the Cod and Chips with mushy peas. The mushy peas were cold and the batter on the cod was like rubber and very hard to cut. I complained online on the following day. I got a reply from the manager and he said the waitress asked you if food was ok. You all replied yes, I explained the other 3 people in the party said yes but as I had my mouth full of rubber batter I didn't say anything. I have explained to the manager but have no reply to date. Shame as all previous meals have been very good and we are there every week for drinks and food and a few games of pool. Still no reply from the manager we haven't been back for 4 weeks had lovely meals at the harvester the moon and stars at penge and the cheqeres pub in Bromley.
