Featherstone Homes (South East) Ltd

I have been left to live in an unsafe construction site since March 2021 - see attached photographs. Because the construction site remains unfinished, we (the residents) cant erect a gate to protect our homes. Weve thus had to deal with people trespassing (including urinating in our drive way) and vandalism. When I exchanged contracts in January 2021, I was told that the entire development would be finished at the same time as my home. When I completed in March 2021, I was told categorically that the entire development would be finished in June. Its now February 2023 and the site still remains unfinished. Despite repeated requests, all we receive is smoke and mirrors responses. Its been a complete nightmare and far from the picturesque development I thought I was buying! I have also had to instruct solicitors to bring legal proceedings against the developer also, because they sold me my house with the benefit of solar panels but unilaterally decided not to install (and only told me on completion, when It was too late for me withdraw from the purchase). This means I've lost about 20,000 worth of solar panels, and incurring more losses in legal and court fees.

I bought a house from Featherstone homes which for a new build offered ample space and a great specification. Location was also good! Team was friendly and resolved any issues I had.
