If you are a child abuse survivor, I highly suggest you avoid this place! I came here at the beginning of my healing journey with incredibly high hopes. First of all, the layout of the place itself is very triggering. It is in a house and is made to have a home like feel (bizarre seeing as most children were abused at home). There is a waiting area where you have to take off your shoes, and a kitchen bit where you can make yourself a drink etc. This always made me deeply uncomfortable but I tried to move past it. They would also try to encourage you to befriend other therapy clients, which seemed unethical and honestly just weird. My therapist was a trainee and would regularly get me confused with other clients. She was also deeply invalidating and would say things like I think thats normal for most families when Id be describing abuse. She was not trauma informed in any sense, and seemed to have no clue about abuse or power dynamics in families. She was quite young and didnt seem to have done any work on herself. The therapy also moved way too quickly; there was no establishing of safety or self regulation tools. It was unsafe. I didnt carry on therapy very long here, but long enough that it did damage. I really worry about the survivors who arent confident enough to advocate for themselves, and who will stay and put up with damaging treatment. Once I was ending the therapy, my therapist suggested I was treatment resistant which was laughable. This place felt like a continuation of the abuse, and Im incredibly sorry I ever came here. Fellow survivors, please seek out genuine trauma informed care maybe starting off with body based therapy such as Somatic Experiencing and find a new therapist the moment something feels off!!

Omg cannot believe these other reviews! This amazing charity literally saved my life. I had a amazing counsellor who I felt was like a friend in the end. They made me realise I am not alone and nothing was my fault. I feel I can move on with my life now and know if I needed them, they are only a phone call away. Cannot thank you guys enough.

Unhelpful service. Focused more on money than client. Focused more on themselves than client's problems. Dishonest. Promised services that didn't happen. Good intentions, badly executed. Certain people need more training including a returned therapist. Need people skills, inclusion, compassion and diversity.
