A1 Cabs

I booked a taxi 12 hours in advance to get me home from work. The time hit and there is no one here. I called up the company to be told that my taxi would be half an hour late. Its sub zero outside and I cant get back into work. What a joke. If you book for a time be there its simple, not using this service again.

My favourite taxi company in consett, cheapest one for shorter journeys. Friendly staff, short wait time to get cabs. Always my go too.

Poor service from a taxi company in Consett is nothing new, but these guys take the biscuit. I used their automated booking system for a cab to pick us up at 11 last night. When nobody showed up i called and was informed there was nothing on their system and it basically wasn't thier problem so I was left stranded with two children until 11.45 when another company managed to get out to us. In the intervening 45 minutes I was hung up on twice by A1 and they then just refused to answer the phone to my number until I continually called the number blocking the line. Would have given them no stars but you can't do that.
