I was warned about this shower but was lead to believe that they were in fact a service that has helped me in the past who were very good in all respects, yet not one single person of whom I have had appointments with corrected me - I have found out the hard way.
Forget your privacy if dealing with this service, I had a telephone consultation earlier today and had to ask many times for the doc to repeat himself and speak up, the reason being - another GP/nurse was in close proximity and repeating everything they heard from the other patient as they wrote it down, postcode, D.O.B. and this for example - 'so how many tin's of gas do you normally sniff when you have had your Heroin' and much more I didn't need or wnt to hear, it was hard to know who was talking to whom.
I followed a link for Addaction (very good from personal experience) from a search and an online chat applet opened. I called the number and selected the correct option as instructed and was called back two days later, so far so good. I got an appointment very soon (16-09) and was over the moon. several various support agencies were also in touch over the next few days, this is week beginning 9-Nov-2020. My appt. with the nurse was 16th Nov. During this appointment I was informed I would not be getting a script and shouldn't have been told this but would get an appointment with one of their GP's during the next 10-14 days. 16 days later - today - I get to speak to him. No script! 'let's not get ahead of ourselves' was his words.
To finish the various staff also do not know or communicate my notes amongst each other, don't know why im accessing their 'services' for want of a better word, don't know basic terminology, and yet you trust them to help you because your desperate, low, hurting - physically, mentally, financially...
You want to get your life back, return to full time employment... Is it any wonder crime is so high, so many suicides, overdoses, the list goes on. Very let down. Very dissappointed.

People go here during the lowest points of their lives and to be treated this way is unacceptable and completely counterproductive. All I can think is they're overworked and/or underpaid so they have little humanity left for their clients. It's no excuse though.
Please don't send your loved ones here unless you have no other choice.
