We absolutely loved the BlueBird Lodge. The owner welcomed us and helped us with a lot of info when we wanted to go on walks. The breakfast was excellent and the ingredients fresh and of good quality. Also loved the puppy treats in the rooms. The only reasons why Im not giving 5 stars is because during the first night we stayed, the people above us had been incredibly loud and moved furniture around until 1-2 am and we couldnt sleep. We tried to look for someone to complain to during the night, but the owners probably dont spend the nights over. The other issue we found was the Wi-Fi connection. We stayed in the suite for 2 nights and the Wi-Fi never worked. I needed to do some work from my laptop and couldnt, also because the phone service connected poorly in Coniston. Food & drinks: Breakfast was included. Theres a pub (a bit pricey) on the opposite road. Any other food places need to be reached by walking into town or driving the car

Rooms: First class rooms, warm and spacious. Walkability: Good walks over Timberthwaite, Langdales, and if your up for it, Coniston Old Man.

Fantastic location. Host was very nice and very helpful and had time to explain everything. Fantastic breakfast very clean and comfortable
