I took my special needs daughters pet hamster here on Saturday the 1st April 2023 and asked to see a vet as Arthur my daughters 14 month old hamster was not eating his food . We had to wait about 20 mins as there was a lady with a black and white dog infront of us. When the lady came out with her dog she payed at reception and left then the receptionist went in to the room to speak to the vet .then we where aloud in there where 2 lady vets to my surprise in the room. Thay ask what thay could do for us and asked us to pop Arthur on to the black mat on the top of the desk so we did .we explained that Arthur wasn't eating . So she turned him onto is back to examine him she quickly said have is tesicles always been that size I sad yes and the she turned him back on to his tummy and opened his mouth and said the problem was is teeth where to long and he couldn't open his mouth to take food and offered to cut em for a fee so I gave her consent to cut his teeth she said there where risks to cutting the teeth and I told her not to give him gas and she agreed so she took him and I waited outside in reception about 20 mins later she came across from the building across the road and said he was fine and we where so relieved and took him home where a little while later we noticed little drops of blood coming from underneath Arthur when my daughter picked him up he had been eating and drinking after we left the but we noticed that Arthur's tesicles had been removed without are concent I wonder why has I had not given the vet permission to do that procedure and was fuories are pour hamster had been neutered over the next few days Arthur detieraited and on Wednesday 6th of April my sweet Arthur died in my daughter chantelles arms I have been up for to days now chantelle won't eat or drink she just keeps saying I want my Arthur back and sobbs her heart out I would like to make you aware of this veterinary practice and advise you not to let your animals out of you sight or you will regret it like me thease people aren't about helping to make you animals better it's just about money, money, money to them and thay need to be made accountable for there negotiation as thay seem to be a law to themselves hamsters can live up to 9 years old and are Arthur didn't have a chance with people like thease who work at this practice my advice is to take your animals somewhere else

When I had to say Goodbye to my beautiful 13 year old dog recently the vet and the nurse exemplified compassion and understanding. They were lovely. We had first class treatment a few weeks later when we brought our new puppy to be checked. The vet who saw him was absolutely lovely and a credit to her profession.
