If you want to feel part of a family unit if you have medical problems that concern you you can rely on the staff...Nurses and carers all to turn to or themselves to act implicitly to alleviate where possible any fears or concerns you may have...the home doctor ....namely Dr Shariffi stationed at nearby surgery is a very pleasant professional guy who will do everything at top speed to ensure your well being unless you prefer to opt for your own GP but give him a'go' ...the staff are kind caring willing but they also feel good themselves if they/yourselves have/find a good raportt...in short we like a good laugh...Activities run by Jenny and Laura are Ace trips out every week...minibus always at hand...even if you are 24/7 Immobile like myself they are there to help you participate from your bedside or comfy chair...of you in doubt about your loved one or you yourself going into care then look no further....l was forgetting about the hub of Astbury Mere namely THE KITCHEN...Andy our amiable Chef is always there to do his best to please your culinary needs....his featherblades of beef and braised beef are suitable for wee bairns...he is helped by stalwart Steve...they do have (myself noticing it more as l am allergic to it and its byproducts) an excessive amount of Pork lunches sausages but you have a second choice!! For the conossier with your meals there is a selection of WINES!!! A cup of tea is my forte!! Just to add they do not cater for Celiac disease except gluten free from bread!!!! I MUST ADD HERE THAT MYSELF BEING CELIAC ANDY AND STEVE ALWAYS FIND MYSELF AN APPEALING MEAL they also allow me to stock up with my own choice of free from in their freezer....the rooms are pleasantly large compared to many homes WI-FI is available to the residents ....the Domestic staff are treasured housekeeper Phyllis and sister Netty followed closed by DONNA PETE AMY DIANNE and the rest of the group ....thank you all for listening...the Nurses are family oriented as are the carers...thank you for listening...SYLVIA MASON ASTBURY MERE RESIDENT

All the Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The residents are mixed Age Groups.. Food is generous portions sizes, you must inform the Chefs if you have diet requirements and medical conditions , to try to meet individual needs. Bedrooms are basic layout with own Bathroom and toilet facilities with walk in shower for the less mobile guess and Residents.Daily activities are organised by the Activities Team within the Care Home and outings using the Adapted Minibus. The Care Assistants offer high standard of general and personal care .I experienced a pleasant time during my stay here receiving Respite care. Thank you again to everyone concerned for all your help and support lon behalf of myself and my Relatives.
