The White Horse Otterbourne

Very expensive tiny portions of not very impressive food. Sadly this place has gone downhill since my last visit in 2019 when the prices and quality were highly commendable. They exclaimed they had to compete with the local competition but I disagree, they were a great pub, with great local food and good prices now they charge more for less with less quality.

Excellent food, but the level of service didn't match the standard of the food. I had to go to the bar & collect my drinks order which was just sitting there.

Really enjoyable Friday lunch at the White Horse. We were lucky to get a table as hadn't booked and must pass our thanks to the gentlemen who was just finishing up and vacated his table. This set the tone for lunch: friendly clientele; friendly staff; prompt service; very quick turn round on food; delicious food; accompanied by lovely drinks, Flower Pots Perridge in my case. Would recommend a visit, but check what's on and consider booking to avoid being disappointed. They have a good sized car park to the rest as well as spaces out front. Nice size garden with plenty of seating and some cabins out front for more private outdoor dining. Check out their app for ordering and paying, it also has special offers. This is one of my locals. It's good. It sells Timothy Taylors, which is good. The food is good but a little pricey. With the ideal collection app, the food becomes reasonably priced.
