A bit of a strange situation as it's a two part review. I bought a car from Hairpin in October 2020 and it all went fairly smoothly, except for the car not being transferred in my name for two months, which also meant I wasn't properly insured during that time. The car also had a number of undisclosed running issues, which I took on the chin as it's part and parcel of owning a classic car, however, further investigation revealed that these issues were known and documented. But, none of that put me off the car, which I love. The main reason for writing this review is that a part of the agreement when I bought the car was that original wing mirrors which were replaced by a previous owner would be included in the sale, which I was promised they had in a box at different premises. For over two years now I've been trying to chase Neil to send me these parts. He had stopped replying to me until I called from my wife's phone which he didn't recognise, at which point he admitted he had lost the original mirrors but was putting together a new set for me. This wasn't what I wanted, or indeed what was agreed, as I wanted the original parts which go with the car, but as there was no other option I accepted. This was last April... I had tried following up with Neil since to no avail. Furthermore, when I bought the car I was given three sets of keys. One key turned out not to belong to my car, but another very valuable one which Hairpin had sold (the key came with the registration of that car written on a tag). I informed Neil that I would like to reunite the key with the car as I am sure the owner wouldn't appreciate someone else having it, but that too was completely ignored. All I want is the parts I was promised and a courtesy of replying to my messages and calls. I also thought they would be very keen to get the key for the other car to forward to the new owner, so the lack of concern about that is troubling. I am very sad that what seemed like a very simple part of a purchase has now dragged on and has soured the experience. The buying experience itself was very pleasant and Neil was very charming and engaging, and their premises were fantastic with amazing stock, so I was looking forward to having an ongoing relationship with them, but they have all but made that impossible.

I collected my car classic Porsche 911 from Hairpin MC yesterday. Beautifully presented all paperwork all up together bound in a lovely binder. Even the clock was set to the correct time! attention to detail means a lot to me. Charlie and Neil were true gentlemen and really easy to deal with.Until next time I thank you both.

Couldnt recommend The Hairpin Company enough. I was recommended to Neil, and he was extremely friendly and superb to deal with in offering an outright purchase for my car. Neil came and inspected the vehicle thoroughly, taking time to examine the history and paperwork for the car, before offering a fast payment the very same day, and covered transport collection the next morning. Very professional company and would recommend to anyone.

I am happy to delete my original review. Having waited a period of time, I have been contacted by a very professional and considerate person. Having spoken with Charlie regarding my grievance the matter is closed, his direct and understanding approach is very much appreciated.
