Perfect location and brilliant views. Unlike the other cafes in the area, this cafe doesn't have a great selection of food (pasties, cakes, coffee and ice-cream is about the limit).

Poor quality food here. We ordered a cream tea but unfortunately the clotted cream was substituted for somerthing that had the consistency of warm butter. Very disappointing for a cream tea in Devon. Service was good and friendly.

I can't comment on the quality of produce as the customer service was so poor that I didnt end up ordering. Called in at 6pm on Wednesday evening, no-one in the queue. Young lad behind the counter and then a women came around the counter, they laughed about something together and walked off.... I could clearly be seen waiting for ice cream. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited 5mins, neither bothered to return so I left. Whether your busy or not, customers are waiting (patiently) and deserve to at least be acknowledged. I certainly wouldn't ever pop back here!

The Redwood ice cream parlour is in a really nice location, pity the guy running isnt as nice. My wife went in to order a pot of tea for herself and a decaf coffee for me. She was told we dont have decaf coffee but we do have mint tea. My wife then replied he doesnt like tea and due to a heart condition he doesnt drink regular coffee, so forget the coffee, but Ill also have a Cornish pasty with the tea.She then went and sat at a table outside. I had popped round the corner to buy some chips as we didnt think the ice cream parlour sold hot food. I came back sat down with my wife and we were sharing the chips Id bought and the pasty shed bought. The owner then came out and in no uncertain terms told us we couldnt eat the chips there as we hadnt purchased them in his establishment, even though we tried to explain the tea and the pasty were bought in his shop. He still demanded we leave the table and go and stand at the road side. The cafe had no other tables being used at the time so really cant understand his rude attitude. We will never again go into his cafe.
