Having never been to fish abroad, the chance to fish holme fen came up and what an experience it was ,the sight of 50lb plus fish leaping out was unbelievable, didnt catch but others in the party did ,definitely worth the money and will hopefully be back in with another trip soon

Absolutely shocking treatment arrived at the venue all buzzed up for the weeks angling to find another group walking the banks in front of us. To be told WE were definitely angling, so we headed around the lake, only to be told when we returned that in fact other group was on there 4th Yr on the venue.(even tho we booked the trip 1st) was told that it was the only time this has happened (MORE LIES) As we decided on a week on the Bluebell complex (couldn't recommend it higher) to be told upon arrival that it was infact a REGULAR OCCURANCE AS THEY RECIEVE THE DEJECTED HOLME FEN REJECTS ON THE 'REGULAR' Safe to say we won't be risking booking again as we were left massively out of pocket on our venue specific purchases bought with a week session in mind.

Was booked on 28th august 2022 to find they had double booked us with another group, they chose the other group over us as we wasnt regulars to the place, got are money back had to go fish bluebells instead but the way they handled it all was absolutely shocking and still waiting for my for the compensation in fuel money they promised to pay definitely wouldnt not recommend Holme fen to anyone whos thinking about group booking and has never been there before, apparently it happens regularly!
