Easy to rent bikes and great route!! We had trouble with one of our bikes and they came out straight away to rescue us!

Paid using the online booking system but arrived to find them closed. On their website there is nothing to say they are currently closed. Their booking system is date-based and allowed me to book for 30th May. Lockdown is starting to ease and I've seen other bike hire places now starting to open safely so this seemed legit. And when it let me pay for the booking also, all seemed well. The confirmation email came through three days in advance. However, after driving over an hour to get there, the place was just quietly closed. No signs. No people to tell me it was closed. Just some shut doors. A few hours after my booking was supposed to start, I received an automated refund without explanation. If you are closed, do not let me book. Simple as that. If the booking form is hard to modify in that way, pop a note over it saying you're closed. Do not book here, even if it let's you, and don't travel here without phoning first.

Bikes were delivered to the place we where staying which was great, but one had a flat tyre and the adjustable saddle clamp on the other was loose which was not great. Thankfully I had brought an Allen key set and I was a strong enough rider to keep pace. Could be better though.

Tom and the team at Far Peak were exceptional. Normally they only deliver a 10 mile radius of the shop but it was no trouble when our rental cottage was 12 miles away. They delivered four great bikes for us and even allowed us to have them an extra day (at no extra charge) when we extended our holiday. We will definitely use them again.
