I went from Size 20/22, 14 stone to Size 8/10, 9 Stone at my lightest. I was overweight, in constant pain in right hip, knee and ankle, feeling old and also had almost constant heartburn/reflux, which severely affected my sleep. I had made several attempts to lose weight which never lasted very long because I tried to eat very little and had been told by a medical professional that the only thing that could help my pain was surgery. Within a few sessions, I started to feel much more confident, I was enjoying my time in the gym and with Ank's encouragement started to eat more (and lose weight). I am now pain-free and have the confidence to try new things, and the newfound confidence is not just in the gym but in all aspects of my life. I now train 5 times per week and have incorporated as much movement into my day as I can. Ank met me where I was, and he has made our training sessions fun, he has pushed me harder than I thought possible but never made me feel stupid or embarrassed. Since working with Ank he has become more than a trainer, he is now a friend. When I entered the gym for the first time I expected to walk on a treadmill or ride a bike, I never expected to be squatting and deadlifting, I thought that was for younger men, not older women. Didn't believe that nearly five years later I would be loving my gym time and be working hard to lift heavier weights and aiming to lift more than my bodyweight. If you are considering working with Ank do it. If you take his advice, you will achieve your goals.

Living in a house where both of my brothers have bad backs, I realised I lacked body strength to do things to help out at home. I felt I needed to be stronger to help with more of the heavy lifting. I hadn't previously tried anything as I always felt awkward or embarrassed working with weights, especially on my own. Ank helped me gain strength, and by the end, I could lift the desired weight I needed to and also with the correct posture as the last thing my family needed was another person with a bad back. He kept me focused and motivated. Him being there gave me the motivation to get up at 5am to get from Stanmore to Moorgate for my sessions. I wouldn't have bothered if I didn't have him as a PT to push me. As well as seeing the results physically, the training sessions helped me stay positive in other areas of my life too, like work and home. It kept me active and feeling full of energy. Ank always gave more than 100%. He went beyond just being a PT when it came to welling, both physically and mentally. He believes that the less mentally stressed the body is, the better the results would be. He kind of became an outlet for any troubles I had and just needed a sounding board. He takes his work very seriously. I definitely would recommend working with Ank. He is passionate about what he does and definitely cares about the results his clients achieve. He pushes you to give your all even when you feel like giving up.

Before working with Ank, my loss of muscle tone and definition were the things I wanted to work on. I had tried working out on my own, at home and in the gym but didn't seem to be getting the results I desired. When I began working with Ank, I started understanding how to use weights and incorporate them into my regular routine. And I got a lot stronger as a result, particularly in my traditionally weak areas including arms and upper back. Training with Ank made working out more fun and much less of a chore. On the days I worked out before going into the office, I felt energised and ready to face the day. Since working with Ank, I'm more aware of the different types of activity I need to do to stay strong and healthy. I no longer feel intimidated by the weight equipment in the gym. I now know I have the motivation to make it to a 7 am workout, even in the dead of winter. If you're contemplating training with all I have to say is give it a try! I never thought weights or a personal trainer was something I'd try, but the benefits of working with a knowledgeable, friendly professional are huge.

Before I began working with Ank, I had a pre-existing medical issue with one of my hips and my posture due to the nature of my job. Having previously tried self-training at the gym and watching youtube tutorials with little return, I decided to bite the bullet and start training with Ank. The results I achieved were terrific. My pain has significantly reduced (in fact almost gone), I feel fitter and most certainly am more active. Ank is super knowledgeable and always adapts new exercises tailored to my needs. He doesn't take on a one size fits all approach. He has a great sense of humour, relaxed personality and always shows flexibility to accommodate my sessions around my busy work schedule. For anyone considering working with Ank, I would say... Have the initial session done where he assesses you and creates a plan of action he knows what he is talking about, the rest will fall in place.
