Apologies for the lateness of posting this review. In September 2015 we purchased an Audi A4 with 75,000 miles on the clock. Shortly after purchase of the vehicle, the gearbox housing had started to wear away due to the half shafts rubbing violently against the gearbox casing. We asked my local mechanic who explained to me that that was extremely unusual wear for the mileage, but Pete Smith's dealership felt that it was still wear and therefore would not cover the cost of a replacement gearbox. The dealership were immensely rude on the phone both to myself and my father, and whilst I have owned many vehicles since (Audi's, BMW's and Mercedes from brand new) this experience still haunts me seven years on. This has actually culminated in enquires as to whether it's too late to engage in civil action against the dealership. As you'd imagine, due to the fact the vehicle involved has long since been sold after repairing it, evidence to provide to a county court has been limited. I will keep exploring further options to protect customers from this kind of abuse.

I promised Pete a review, without being asked, because the experience was so good. The car was faultless, the sales process was not pushy and now six months later, the car is still not missing a beat and I'm still very happy with it. This was a traditional sales experience in all the right ways. Pete took the time to find out what I was looking for, we negotiated a price that we were both happy with and I was left alone to look at the car and take a test drive without any rush at all. I can't think of anything I would do to improve my experience.

I bought a Nissan Qashqai from Pete in February 2022. Pete was friendly and open during the whole process. the car was ready to collect within a couple of days and has been fantastic ever since. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Pete again. Highly recommended dealer.
