The reserve is lovely but dogwalkers please PUT YOUR DOGS ON A LEAD - it's a nature reserve of national and international importance - not a giant dog walking sanctuary. Dogs off leads disturb ground nesting birds and wildfowl.

This is a lovely spot. I walk here regularly, there is lots of wildlife to see. However the underfoot conditions and drainage have been ruined by the grazing cattle that were left in there too long during the heavy rains. Now every time it rains, it is very swampy and difficult to walk, some spots are impassable. Such a shame. Ruined by poor management
