Fishers Pond Eastleigh

Sadly it wasnt the as good as it usually is! Myself and my partner went for dinner here at fishers pond, the atmosphere is lovely and I would say its one of my favourite places to go! Sadly tonight wasnt as good as usual, the table staff was amazing and really happy to help but the food wasnt up to par as it usually is. We started off with one of the sharing starters, which was amazing! Can not fault it! But after this it took approximately 45 minutes for the main courses to come out, when the main came out my partners pizza was cooked absolutely fine but my chicken and chips were cold, I dont normally complain but I just let the table staff know my food was cold, they couldnt apologise enough, they were very helpful, once the food went back it was about a 5-10 minute wait, when my main came out it was nice and hot but sadly no flavour, on the menu it was described as Korean BBQ chicken but sadly had no flavour and just tasted like cooked chicken, the side dish never came with the sauce or the side dressing for the salad. I mentioned this again to the table staff, which they said they will speak to the chef about. We asked for the bill and we had a voucher for downloading the vintage inn app, but where we didnt download it 24 hours before our visit it wouldnt except the voucher which is a shame! Hopefully on our next visit it will be better but I would also say maybe another staff member or two to help out on table service, especially when training a new member (again they were brilliant but were very stretched). I hope this is seen as more of a constructive criticism response rather than a all out complaint.

No steaks left again 3rd time in a row. Then today 50 % menue sold out. We ended up having 2 combo starters and no mains. No more guys

Absolutely rubbish service, when going in and asking where our drinks were after 25mins, I got we don't have most of your order and we are short staffed. that should not be an excuse.

Amazing pub in a scenic location. Service cant be beaten and the GM, Victoria, was the nicest and most welcoming host with a real, noticeable commitment to quality, even on a busy bank holiday. First visit, certainly wont be the last.
