Good selection of well kept ales and ciders, plus a large selection of spirits, particularly unusual gins and whiskies. Usually fairly quiet on Wednesday evenings. It is only small and certainly not fancy but a friendly neighbourhood pub. It is one of the few still to have a poolroom. There is also a large outside courtyard with seating. Friendly bar staff, though I may be biased as he is my grandson. Nearly forgot that there is a jukebox playing very quietly in the background, not interfering with talking or reading the paper. Also shelves of books to borrow in the corridor leading to the loos and courtyard. Sorry Simon, forgot to mention the friendly landlord
