It's almost hilariously bad, which I take no pleasure in saying. Prepare for a long wait at the bar in an almost empty pub and for the regulars ( I assume given the interactions with the person behind the bar) to be served ahead of you regardless of how long you've been waiting! The nearby Rovers Tye or Bricklayers offer a warmer welcome and greater selection of beer.

Excellent pint of Guinness, good service and decent enough food for the price. Only negative is the place could do with a refurbishment. Furniture, carpets, walls all look a bit like they've seen better days.
