The school is a joke! They dont care about the children or the welfare of family lives, My son who had been in year 2 for no little then 2 weeks was pushed to the ground and had his head kicked by 3 other students! I only fount this out on the Sunday when my Son turns round crying saying he doesnt want to go to school, I asked him why and thats when he told me what happened! I was of course fuming, concerned and confused as to why on the Thursday or even the day after on the Friday the teacher of Romans class failed to inform us as the parent, so I kepted him of school and phoned up, no one in the office knew of the incident so they got the deputy head teacher Mrs Tina Bourne to phone me back, when discussing how upset I was that we wasnt told her response was he wasnt hurt so we didnt need to tell you I then said so getting pushed to the ground and getting kicked doesnt hurt but because their was no physical injuries it wasnt deemed important enough to tell us as the parents, so I said what about mentally? She had nothing to say and I said it took my son 3 days to tell me anything because he was scared too so if my son wasnt physically hurting he was definitely emotionally the teacher then said so what do you want us to do tell you everything that happens to your child I said yes as parent we should know what happens to our children she agreed and said okay we will tell you everything ...... I then moved on to why my son lost his break on Friday for not doing a silly thing like 5 reads (I get it, reading is important and the first week managed to fit in 8 reads as I had time of work) so I asked why is it my child is getting punished for something me and my partner didnt do with him (me and my partner work around each other one does mornings one does evenings we got 2 kids under 5 years including our child in year 2 so we are a busy household) she said its a policy they do 5 reads I explained that for busy familys its taking on too much, she wasnt accepting that I said how some weeks he didnt do 5 reads but never lost his lunch for it she said their year 2 now I replied quiet disgusted and said yeah still children, if they were perhaps year 4, 5 and 6 were they should start taking some responsibility then Ill accept it she had nothing to say, so I explained again saying no kids shouldnt be punished because a parent didnt do what they were supposed to do if anything you should be making contact with that parent wanting an explanation not punishing a child I then added this is another reason kids grow up hating their parents, your not looking out for their wellbeing again she then tried sitting on the phone for me for half an hour arguing with me which I though was rude so I said okay Im taking him out of the school as emotional wellbeing isnt a priority for your school she then said it sounds like you have no confedent in the school i said two incidence in a row of course not so end result in that is my son no longer goes their and the past two days have been he normal self again, so if your looking to put your kid into a school were their safe, their physical and emotional wellbeing is being looked out for and you are keeper in the loop then DONT send your child here.
