In spite of al the exercises I've been doing to allieviate it, the dreadful pain I have from the trapped nerves in my cervical spine persists. My GP read my most recent MRI scan report and said I need to be referred to the MSK team. But she couldn't refer me directly any more, because referrals have to be done through Allied Healthcare, which is a private company. My GP said if I can't wait, I can go private, but as the taxes I've paid all of my working life mean I'm entitled to free health care, I have to wait 10 days or so for a phone conversation with a "senior" Allied Healthcare physiotherapist. The pressure on me to go private is obvious and utterly heartless. Allied Healthcare wants money and all the while when we were clapping for "our" NHS, they were busy dismantling it.

Almost impossible to get an appointment without turning up and queuing in person before 8am and no prebookables due to apparent staff shortages, neither of which helps those who work....staff can be intractable, as though mandatory for meeting the stereotype...
