Pump Gyms Colchester

Clean-ish and with masses of room and equipment, probably the best value gym in the Colchester area, especially now there are more classes. Classes aren't run exceedingly well TBH, bit hit and miss, depending on who's doing them (usually not very experienced trainers). No pool but a (tiny) sauna included in the rather sparse changing room. Need your own padlock for lockers. Showers aren't great but are OK. Separate area for punch bags but that's a bit spoilt by sharing it with weights as well. Every other person seems to be either preening in front of a mirror or taking selfies for their Instagram/TikTok/Whatever page Not a fan of the dim lighting or the rather sub-standard machines but you get what you pay for I suppose. On the whole though, if you're a real gym aficionado, I'd suggest spending a bit more for better quality equipment and facilities @ Bannatyne's across the road.

Can't believe this gym is only 20 quid, all weights and machines are in impeccable condition, it's big and airy, so no steamy mirrors, music pumping and the range, don't get me started about the range, if you like to train a certain muscle group per session like I do, you can spend an entire session on said muscle group without using the same machine twice. Admittedly you feel like you're walking into the International Space Station when you enter (you'll understand what I mean if you ever pay a visit). Lastly 24 hours for those with demanding schedules. Pump Gyms is where it's at.
