Management are liars and are quite stupid if If I must say - they lie to you about only shadow shifting for one day, when really its three, and unpaid at that. Have you working your fingers to the bone without a break for 7 hours thinking youre working for money at the beginning of your time there when really its voluntary, its just unprofessional of them to not disclose such information until the time when you really need the money.

No structure, huge staff turnover. No care staff has been there 1 year or more. I previously wrote a review but was manipulated to remove the review just to get a reference. (we look forward to this being removed - from the owner) Management isn't helpful towards staff, Staff don't stay so what does that that say about them as a business? Instead of employing new staff address the issues on why.

Ever wonder why ex staff complain on these pages? Not all like the way they are treated and there is a high turnover of staff, every week new staff very few stay past weeks or months, complaints all over the place. Yes some will moan because they dont work there any more but there are genuine complaints from being understaffed over worked and a general feeling of not being able to provide the best for the residents so they leave! Not every staff member has has left because of something theve done they feel like they had to or it's not for them. Trips were arranged by family member who fund raised for the trip arranged travel and food! not staff at the home

The Shrubbery Rest Home is a beautiful home with a beautiful heart. This home and it's staff go above and beyond for their residents. Residents have been to Blackpool, had pool parties in the garden and a vehicle has recently been purchased for the homes use. These are just a few examples. Residents are well looked after and the staff and the owners are passionate about care. If you want somewhere your relative will be treated like family this home is the right one for you. It appears a number of negative reviews have been left by ex staff members of the shrubbery. The question always has to be asked, why are they ex staff. I would imagine through fault of their own! Don't let them skew your view due to being disgruntled that they no longer work for the home. Slander is easy to achieve now a days. The care is of high quality you only have to look at the care home UK reviews and Cqc report to see that. I would always recommend the shrubbery for my family members. There should be no higher praise than that.

First impressions this place needs home improvements, it's in a poor state, it smells and not very hygienic, Service users are great and deserve what they are paying for, kitchen again is not kept as it should food left open, for any insects to drop in and that has been witnessed, there's a few good staff, but you rarely see any smiles, it's a very negative place that always see there staff in a bad light know matter what they do.. Management only wish to be nice as they feel, staff don't stay here and I can see why now, personal information is left out for everyone to view, group chats are rude again management! Then they wonder why nobody covers shifts and have to use agencys instead, pay is poor for what they expect of you, Apparently judging by other reviews not much has changed here, I wouldn't recommend,
