        Sharon was a wonderful host and provided as much information as possible throughout our stay. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, each day we were welcomed with home-made treats in our room. We opted for cooked breakfast each morning which did not disappoint! Plenty of choice to keep us fuelled for our 9 mile walk. Sharon made us feel very welcome, even borrowing us detailed maps for our explorations. Briar Bank has excellent certifications for hosting and food hygiene. We will definitely return on our next visit to Cockermouth.
