I can only conclude from the 4.6 rating of this place that there are just some unbelievably picky people out there that just cant be pleased. The atmosphere of this place takes me back to some of the favorite days of my life skipping through Belgium and France and ducking into ancient pubs for warmth and grub. The fireplaces were warm, the service is outstandingly friendly, and the food.my god the food. superb.

Been coming to this country pub every time Im in the Cotswolds and recently heard they just changed management, so I pop in yesterday for lunch as was in the area to see the place. I do think it was about time they changed management as nothing seemed to change or was new. The food was delicious and the staff seem so much more happier now and there was a sense of such an relaxed atmosphere then the last time I visited. The new managers are really nice and can tell they are going to do well here. Cant wait to return in the summer.
