The place had a pleasant whiff of deeply oiled mahogny and waxed obo strings. I purchased a reasurringly expensive Chinese Ming baking tray. Geoff was in no mood to bargain, but to be fair, if I had a room full of spooky whicker doll prams behind me, I'd be full of ghoulish bravado too. Turns out the tray was haunted. Had the pleasure of frequenting this fine establishment only last week. The atmosphere is tastefully muted and even the most discerning of tabby cats would happily snooze amongst it's freshly plumped cushions. I was seeking a bariatric chaise lounge for my uncle Roy who in his own words is " a tad portly." The staff kindly pointed out that their Fitzroy range was a collection of stone and oak finished furniture, and not specifically aimed at my poor uncle. We shared a chuckle at my foolishness and I left after purchasing a tastefully embroidered Exmouth footstool.
