Mark Jordan Driving School

I couldn't thank Andy at Mark Jordan Driving school enough! The whole experience has been so positive. I came to Mark Jordan driving school after returning from university and had changed from a previous instructor. Andy is so calm, patient and positive. He helped build up my confidence in driving very quickly and has given me life long skills and knowledge about driving. I am particularly grateful with how accommodating he was to fit me in with short notice as I had moved to Southend for a teacher training position and was in the area shortly before my test. Andy was honest the entire time but was very reassuring in knowing my abilities. He went above and beyond to fit me in, even working a bank holiday for me the day before my test. Overall, I couldn't recommend the company and Andy enough!

When looking for a driving school, I was looking for affordability, and a friendly and supportive instructor. I definitely found that with Mark Jordan Driving School. Andy Tyler was the best instructor I could've asked for. He is kind, caring, and so understanding when it came to my physically and mental health issues. Driving had always seemed like this huge, complicated thing to me, but Andy calmed my nerves within the first few minutes of the very first lesson and showed me that it's not as complicated as it looks. Any issues I had, we would dedicate lessons to until I could to it without worry. I highly recommend Mark Jordan Driving school to anyone who needs an affordable yet effective driving school.

I chose Mark Jordan driving school as it was evident that they had an excellent reputation, quality tuition and great results. I found the initial contact with Mark Jordan excellent with clear and detailed information made available from the start allowing for ease of booking. My tuition with Andy Tyler was exceptional. He provided a relaxed and supportive environment adjusting the pace and content as needed. Andy not only demonstrated what needed to be learnt but also why, ensuring that I learnt to drive safely and confidently. Andy provided a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will stay with me during my driving journey. I cannot recommend Andy or Mark Jordan driving school enough and thank them for helping me pass first time.

I drove with Mark Jordan driving as they had good reviews online and they lived up to it. The lessons were planned out and executed clearly. They broke every aspect of driving down to make sure you mastered everything before putting it all together. Andy who I had went above and beyond to help by doing lessons on days he never normally works just before the test and helped to move the test forward. Overall a really good experience and would recommend to anyone who wants to learn to drive.

I chose to use the MJ Driving School as it offered consistent, 2 hr lessons, and I am incredibly glad I did! I drove with Andy, and he was outstanding! Always very fair and supportive, he constantly helped me to better my driving despite being heavy-footed in the beginning and having a below-par sense of direction! He would always be understanding of myself as well and would be flexible in helping work our lessons (and my test) to a time that fit us both well. He would not only explain how to do things, but allow me to explain why I did something, and would then help to express where my thinking was right/wrong so I could bare that in mind for the future. There was an excellent range of techniques used to help my learning, including modern iPad techniques and plenty of visual aids that would help my understanding of not only what to do, but why things should be done in a given way. We would consistently use plenty of test routes and roads, so much so that we had driven every road my test was on before I took it, but also would take on board my suggestions so we could do a number of roads/routes more local to myself. We also had time to reflect at the end of our lessons as well, giving constructive feedback which allowed me to reflect on comments he made and commit them to memory ahead of the next week! The experience in the car was great too. It was great getting to know Andy over the time we were together. There was always conversation to be had and, equally, I could concentrate solely on what we were doing when needed, without feeling the pressure of him watching over me! It was always a calming and measured environment, that helped keep me from stressing and there was always opportunity to find somewhere to calm down and take a breather when required. I would highly recommend the MJ Driving School, and Andy himself, as he was incredibly supportive, would always make sure I was happy with what I was doing and kept me very comfortable in the car. And it is because of this I believe they could support anyone through their learning journey!
