Topsham Cars

DO NOT RELY ON THIS COMPANY I really dont like negative press but in the interests of saving someone else from having similar experience to ours this morning, be careful when using this company. Topsham Cars a misnomer - seems they have a one-and-only car. And no back-up plan. We pre-booked for pick up for St Davids station - had no wiggle room and needed the arrangement to work. 5 mins before due pick up the owner called to say they had no vehicle after all and thus could not do the drive to the station. Just not what you need. Proceed with caution when choosing this option for taxi service.

Extremely disappointed with this company and will no longer be using their services. Despite negative reviews on the grapevine regarding Topsham Cars, John has previously been excellent in fitting our journey in, and providing a good service. A few instances with a different driver over the past couple of weeks have occurred, however nothing as bad as this morning. The driver was aggressive in both his driving habits and behaviour, and after roughly 30 seconds of being in the car we had to exit the vehicle for our own safety. The driver then became more aggressive and irate and drove round the one way system to come back to our address to continue his monologue of aggression. When I tried to defuse the situation he would speed off then stop to continue shouting out his window. When speaking to the business owner about this situation the only comment he had was thats Mike and that he needs the drivers. He also mentioned the only solution to this mornings altercation is that they will stop providing us their service; something I had already decided based on this mornings situation. However, the driver is free to continue picking up customers without a care for their safety or comfort.
