The School House B&B, Shropshire

What a wonderful find! We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and The School House was a perfect place to stay. There was such attention to detail. Our bedroom was beautiful, with a king size bed and amazing views of Chapel Lawn. There was a home made lemon drizzle cake, bottled water, tea and coffee, and even a little pack of emergency items in case we had forgotten anything. For walkers, the place is a dream as there is a map room with walking ideas and maps that can be borrowed. We had ordered an evening picnic on arrival, which was great, as were the packed lunches we ordered for the day we departed. Breakfasts were tasty and ingredients locally sourced where possible, definitely a highlight of the day. For electric car users there is a charging point installed. There are local walks right on the doorstep if you dont want to drive further afield, with clear directions provided - Definitely worth it as the area is beautiful and some of the views superb. Even recommendations for local pubs were provided. After a days walking we were able to sit out in the garden and watch the birds. Truly a great place to stay and to feel the stresses of the world fall away. We will be back.

This was our second visit to the School House and it was lovely to return. We had the best couple of nights sleep, so much so that when we got home we ordered the same mattress topper that Clare and Dave use. We love having the sitting room in the Brineddin suite, with the starlight through the skylight (you can shut the blind if you prefer) and the view from the bedroom window. Breakfast was excellent, as ever, as was Clare's fantastic lemon drizzle cake. We will be back again.
