Golden City Clowne

Me and my partner have been coming here for years. The food is really good. The best in the area and we drive 15 minutes to collect after moving away from Clowne. The one small downside has always been the man behind the counter. Usually sat down watching the tv. Doesnt really say hello. One word answers etc. the quality of the food normally outshines this. Tonight however was different, after saying it was an order for Craig and him not saying a single word to me he went to get my order. Waiting with my phone out he then looked at me almost annoyed and said card? I apologised and said yes. The machine then asked to insert a card which I didnt have. He looked very annoyed so I asked if I could try another card as didnt have my wallet. The same occurred. Offerring no solutions and saying it had worked with other customers I asked if I could do a bank transfer. He said no so asked him to check with the owner which he did. When him and the owner returned I let him know that I thought he was rude and had been since I walked in. He then started to say I was embarrassed as his machine hadnt worked. I let him know he is rude every time I come in and started to get pretty annoyed. He then started calling me aggressive. The owner who is always really nice both in the phone and in person then tried the card machine and it worked first time. Unfortunately we wont be back again while he is sat watching tv/working behind the counter, he is the first person your customers see and he gives a terrible first impression.

Always enjoy the food and for me, when I collect, it's always ready in 15/20 minutes.

Lovely hot and fresh food. We all really enjoyed it and there's not much left! Will definitely use this take away again.

I had chicken balls, egg fried rice and gravy. Chicken balls were not cooked. Im now ill and have been throwing up all night. I want my money back.
