This station is a small station that has Southern trains serving it. It has half-hourly trains in each direction. Unfortunately, it has no step-free access to the National Rail platform. There is not a ticket office on site but there is a card-only ticket machine.

The "trains" side of the station is only accessible by steep stairs - there is no access for those with mobility issues or with prams etc. Maintenance of this platform is minimal. There is 1 screen showing the arrivals/departures but it can only be viewed by walking along the platform from the entrance, which is a pain when it then says the train is cancelled (quite regularly, as it is not a "priority line") and you have to walk back along the platform and down the stairs to find an alternative route. Trains are scheduled to run every 30 minutes each direction, but have periods every day where cancelled. The "trams" side is fully accessible via ramp or stairs. Maintenance of the platform is fairly good. Trams run every 11 to 15 minutes in each direction and are generally reliable.

A very weird arrangement, two independent single tracks, one for trains, one for trams. The negative (making it not 5 stars is the fact that to transfer from one or the other, you have leave one and enter the other at street level
