Just took a Look into traveling around in a comfortable home from home.

Fabulously fun, this was our first experience of up-camping as we have christened motorhoming (is that a word?). We were not disappointed. We dont want to appear smug but when all the tents had disappeared at 2.30am we were not only safely snuggled up in the spacious and very comfortable double bed but also quite enjoying the sound of ferocious wind and rain beating against the windows - safe as houses - or at least motorhomes. Both of us found it very easy to drive, the seats were comfortable with plenty of leg room and space. Being high up made visibility easy and parking and reversing were no problem with sensible mirrors and rear and front parking sensors - apart from when were a little too excited reversing into our slot on the St Davids campsite and knocked over the pole with our pitch number on it. The cab was well equipped with door pocket, shelf, cup holder and glove compartment so plenty of room for maps, food and water, camera and stuff! Soooo luxurious to have unlimited hot and cold running water, a gleamingly spotless bathroom with a swivel loo (discovered this on the second day having spent the first day with knees held up to the chin) and plenty of light- both artificial and from the skylight - and mirrors. Next to this a sensible wardrobe high enough to hang a party dress and jacket needed for the following nights party in Whitbourne. Six overhead lockers catered for clothes and bags and even more stowing space appeared under the seats. And what an easy and sensible mechanism for converting the seats into a bed - in under five minutes. Must admit we didnt cook. At all. But we did boil the kettle which worked fine on the gas hob! Excellent sized fridge for wine and beer and even a microwave if you want one. All in all - a successful initiation into motorhoming - thank you to all the helpful people at James Alpe for being at the end of the phone 24/7.
