Don't buy a Miller home. They use the cheapest materials, such as MDF for all skirting board and door frames, soft wood used for external door frames which rots within 3 year due to the poor protection. They will con you with ground rent and once all plots are sold they will sell your leasehold to homeground or someone similar, without offering you the chance to buy it. We had problems with plumbing and failing parts, due to cheap materials they make their contractors use. Also never use a solictor they recommend. They will say its the solictor they use and that the solictor knows all the ins and outs of the development etc and house sale will complete faster etc etc when in all honesty the solicitor will not go into details regarding leaseholds etc Miller homes usually have a parent company own the land and say they can't offer you a cheap deal for the leasehold. They then sell it off once you've bought the house and make more money indirectly from you. If you want poor value for money, poor aftersales and problem after problem then buy a Miller home. If you want a well built house made with better materials then buy from some other house builder. We will never purchase a house from these cowboys again.
