Fantastic product! My son and I went camping and packed up our Safari Chef 2. Great compact size and very versatile when space is at a premium.

Nothing but praise! Dealt with a minor warranty issue promptly and great communication.

We took a Grillo Chef on a big family camping trip and it was brilliant. Cooked everything including a big steak to perfection.

Grill, when used with the dome for cooking pizza is dangerous. The first time we used it the temperature got so hot it melted the locking collar which holds the legs and the whole thing collapsed. Cadac gave an answer which made no sense and told us to go and buy a replacement part. The response time was very slow and unhelpful. We will not be buying anything Cadac related again. We have since seen several reviews on forums that state that the same thing has happened to others.

Rubbish. I Bought a Cadac Safari Chef 2 from Spinney Caravans 3 months ago. It suffered a flare up shortly after being lit when the plastic support collar holding the burner melted for no apparent reason. Took it back to the shop. They didn't want to know and referred me to Cadac UK. Cadac UK sent me a warranty claim form via email which I completed and returned detailing what happened with photos. Their response was to send me a replacement plastic support collar and a burner top. It took another phone call to get them to also send a new jet/valve assembly which had also clearly been damaged beyond reasonable repair. I was advised how to fit these new parts myself. My Safari Chef 2 heat shield was scorched during the flare up but Cadac UK refused to replace this claiming that the marks were caused by the user allowing food residue etc to spill onto it. I called Cadac UK to refute this and was told that the heat shield was not a component part and would therefore require a complete replacement appliance and this was something their economics as a "trading arm" for Cadac SA did not readily allow. I emailed my dissatisfaction but got no response. Conclusion. Why my Safari Chef 2 failed in the first place is a mystery, although a plastic part, albeit high in silicate, fitted in contact with the burner is questionable and I'm not convinced the same problem won't happen again. As for Cadac UK Warranty. Inadequate is a generous description and certainly in my case, don't expect much help from where you bought it from either.
