Interesting but it was an absolute mess, unsuitable for any camping or caravanning trips

The location was amazing. Central to everywhere. Wouldn't use the taps on the pitches. When I turned it on a wasp and a few other dead insects fell out of it. Kitchen and toilets were clean. I found the owner to be a bit unfriendly but only encountered her twice. The road can be a bit noisy but you get used to it. Would I stay again? Probably not except for the location to the beach.

Lovely little campsite has everything in a stone throw from you Showers where very clean and pleasant lots of space Toilets beat the stigma of portals these where clean tidy and don't smell at all There's a walk to climping beach and other walks nearby which makes for a great day or afternoon down the beach took no more then half an hour to walk there Pitches are good size with taps on the pitch which was a massive help It's close to a busy road but really can't hear any traffic We where only ment to stay a couple of nights but ended up staying another as we were enjoying the peace and quite before hitting the road again we will definitely be returning I wouldn't hesitate to book again Alison is a lovely and friendly lady I phoned up late one afternoon, Alison was very helpful within 10minutes we where all booked in and heading to the campsite for our stay Very easy and painless and straightforward

Absolutely loved it! We always pick our campsites carefully based upon recent reviews, amenities and location. I can only imagine that the few negative reviews for this site don't understabd the meaning of 'back to basics'. We actually felt (having seen places with nothing but a single portaloo and a cold tap for washing) that this was well facilitated with lovely little extra touches (plug points in the wash room, kettle, fridge and freezer). The two shower rooms were wonderful, plenty of flushing toilets which were more than acceptably clean. My bf thought the portaloos around the field were a little unsightly (hence the 4 stars) but we understood the convenience of these and again they were clean and in good order. We didn't notice the road noise and to be honest it quietens down significantly at night. A very peaceful and friendly site in all. Access to footpaths and the beach is immediate and well signposted (beware footpaths further afield towards Littlehampton- an unnavigatable mass of nettles, brambles and thistles). Beautiful pub is a few minutes walk. All in all, two nights was not enough to see everything the area has to offer - we will be back and we know where we will be staying! REPLY TO ALISON I think the portaloos are useful, particularly during the night. Perhaps if they were repositioned so as to be at the back of pitches/against hedges (most already are), even if two pitches had to share that could be ok if it was two couples as opposed to large families. I think it's something that will get mixed responses but reading the reviews, you've had one quite rude person be unnecessarily horrid whilst everyone else doesn't mind them. If it works for you then keep on doing it :)

Lovely little campsite has everything in a stone throw from you
Showers where very clean and pleasant lots of space
Toilets beat the stigma of portals these where clean tidy and don't smell at all
There's a walk to climping beach and other walks nearby which makes for a great day or afternoon down the beach
took no more then half an hour to walk there
Pitches are good size with taps on the pitch which was a massive help
It's close to a busy road but really can't hear any traffic
We where only ment to stay a couple of nights but ended up staying another as we were enjoying the peace and quite before hitting the road again
we will definitely be returning
I wouldn't hesitate to book again
