Ideal quiet surroundings but lodge needs tlc! We stayed in Acorn Lodge which we feel does need some refurbishment, well quite a bit. The photographs on Hoseasons mustve been taken some time ago. Whilst communication was great, and a bonus we thought that we could get in earlier than anticipated, wouldve preferred the lodge to be cleaned a bit more thoroughly. The bar stool bases had just been gone over with a mop and not cleaned with a cloth, cobwebs in corners and on lights, some sticky substance in fridge not cleaned up (see photos). Used the dishwasher 3 times and each time had to wash again by hand. There is also no hairdryer. The plus is the hot tub on the deck, the delightful surroundings overlooking the pond.

Just returned from a long weekend in the bramble lodge ( for pets) went with by bestie And the whole experience was lovely, easy check In, was able to check in1 hour earlier, the cabin was lovely and warm and was very home from home, lived in the hot tub the whole weekend and even managed to have breakfast sat out on the veranda yesterday morning, just 1 minor fault was the broadband signal wasnt the best and the tv kept buffering, but this would certainly not stop us from booking again for September, would also recommend to family and friends.

Booked here on Hoseasons website. Very reasonable prices for a hottub lodge. When we arrived Gerry met us at the entrance and showed us to the lodge. We were shown the hot tub controls and then inside where she explained about where to visit and basics etc. The site isn't manned by anyone but you get Gerry's number incase you need any help with anything. There are waste bins and recycling bins on site which is good. There is a very comprehensive welcome book with everything you could ever need to know in it, and plenty of tourist books. Inside the Oak lodge we had one room with a double bed. For me being 6ft4 this was a little on the small side. The kids both had single beds. The beds were very comfy though I will give them that. There is a TV that includes a fire stick so we could watch Netflix while there. There is free WiFi available. The lodge was very modern and clean and had a good kitchen with dishwasher which had 3 tablets with it. There was also a cloth and washing liquid for the sink along with tea towels.and bin bags. There was a full supply of cooking pans, pots, utensils and crockery. No need to take anything with you for this place. There were towels provided too in the bathroom for everyone. Soap bars and small shower gels. Heating is provided throughout which was easy to adjust and plenty of lights. The decking was nice with lights and seating. It looked out onto the large pond which had plenty of wildlife living in it. The kids loved feeding the ducks every morning. Privacy wasn't an issue for us, we couldn't see next door when they were in the hot tub. We could see a lodge a little further away but you needn't worry about privacy. The hot tub is checked and cleaned every morning by staff to make sure the water is good to use. The tub is emptied on the morning of your departure but they do give you the option of keeping the water in if you want to use it until last minute. We would definitely visit here again depending on price. Update Dec 22. We stayed in an Acorn Lodge this time round without the kids. Was very modern inside and made for a perfect romantic weekend away. The shower in the room was amazing and so big and the wife really enjoyed the roll top bath. The hot tub was great again and it was a lovely quiet weekend away. Happy to visit here again in the future
