Yoga Avenue

I have loved Emmas beginners yoga class and I have started to use some if the techniques in my daily life and to manage some health challenges. I am still very much a novice but Emma makes everyone feel so welcome and part of her yoga family which gives you so much confidence to keep trying.

Emma's yoga classes are unique. Having tried most of the other local classes and I was thrilled to finally find someone who really puts passion and knowledge into what she offers. Her experience shines through her teaching, as does her warmth and natural ability to really make you feel seen and welcomed. I'm particularly loving the 1:1 classes with her and finding they are making such a difference to my posture, mobility and general well being. Would definitely highly recommend.

I First found yoga avenue and Emma, in late 2019. I'd reached the time of life where I needed to repair and maintain my body due to back and knee issues after many years of self induced harm! Emma assessed my fitness level and flexibility and reasons for wanting to practice yoga. So I started on my yoga journey with Emma beginning with one on one practice at her lovely garden studio. I've also attended some mini retreat days in the woodlands at brown rock farm tickenham which is a truly beautiful venue, needs to be seen to believe. Emma is a highly trained qualified yoga tutor, with a vast amount of knowledge. She's a very happy positive tutor, always smiling. I truly did not know yoga involved so much. I've learnt or still learning, breath work Asana's mantras, meditation, Sanskrit and chakra's. I never knew yoga had so many aspects. I can't possibly condense two years with Emma in to a short review. Emma has taught me so much and continues to make yoga fun and engaging for me. Her lessons are fun, cheeky and a pleasure to attend, time truly does fly! All I can say is I've been truly blessed to find such an amazing Tutor in Emma May I have the pleasure of many more years. I discovered Yoga Avenue - and Emma! - two and a half years ago. Her beautiful Studio at the bottom of the garden really enticed me as I was looking for a more personal, intimate experience of yoga after a few failed attempts at regular 'classes' over the years. I was not disappointed. Emma is the most amazing teacher; her passionate teaching style and extensive knowledge of the human body combine to offer the most enjoyable and holistic experience of yoga. Her calm and caring approach always ensures that I come away feeling relaxed, refreshed, and yet energised! During the Covid period we practiced via Zoom, and I genuinely credit Emma with helping me to manage my anxiety during those difficult months. Her calm voice and beautiful use of language enables me to focus totally on the practice, often completely losing myself to the wonderful world of the Yoga Goddesses! I am so grateful to have found Emma, not only a great yoga teacher, but a very special friend.

Emmas Yoga classes are a beautiful mix of physical yoga, meditation and spiritual storytelling. I always leave feeling enlightened and empowered.
