I arrived for my appointment just ahead of an elderly gentleman who I had seen walking towards the store a few minutes earlier . He clearly had mobility issues. Upon his arrival, he checked in for his appointment and the assistant who was dealing with him said "hmmm your appointment was for 1.45pm and it is now 1.55pm". This was rude and dismissive. NOT good customer service or respect for our elderly generation.

We were very impressed with all the service we received by the staff of the Clevedon branch of Specsavers. Both Jessica and Katie were exemplary and Specsavers are lucky to have such employees.

I am absolutely disgusted to hear about my poor mums recent experience at specsavers, Clevedon. She is a lovely lady who works so hard to offer 24/7 care for her mum so often has little to no time for herself. Heading out of the house was a big deal as she suffers with labyrinthitis which makes daily tasks a huge challenge. All throughout her appointment, she was belittled, undermined and made to feel simply stupid. With labyrinthitis, you often struggle to follow objects with your eyes without feeling very wobbly so reading is often challenging and following small objects such as the little red dot you have to follow when having your eyes tested is almost impossible. After completing the red dot test and struggling with it, my mum heard the opticians laughing in the side room, saying, did she even try? Well thats a fail isnt it? This made my mum feel absolutely worthless. They then asked her to read some lettering on a piece of paper, which my mum held the piece of paper closer to her eye-line to view it. The optician snapped at her, saying, well you wouldnt read a book like that. My mum was too flabbergasted to even answer back or to challenge them and left feeling very deflated and that she was the problem. This has really upset me hearing how she was treated and has totally knocked her self confidence having to engage with anyone else in case they are too rude or inconsiderate.
